Play List

Jazz Band

Each fall, we select 8-10 tunes that will be our "play list" for the upcoming performance season. We strive to choose charts that strike a balance between representing big band jazz music as an American art form, while still being accessible and engaging to the disparate audiences for which we perform.

In addition to the seasonal play list that we typically perform at concerts, we often augment our social event performances with dance charts, representing some of the classic swing-era favorites. These include classics such as In the Mood, Sing Sing Sing, Pennsylvania 6-5000, Take the A-Train, and many more.

Below is the play list for our current concert performance season, followed by a list of all the concert charts that the Real Big Band has played since its inception in 1998.
